British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will face a confidence vote from ruling Conservative MPs later on Monday, Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 committee, told MPs.
“The threshold for a vote of confidence in the Conservative leader by 15 per cent of parliamentary parties has been crossed,” he wrote in a note to Conservative MPs.
“As per the rules, a vote will be held today Monday 6 June between 1800 and 2000 – details to be confirmed. The vote will be counted immediately thereafter. An announcement will be made at further notice.” news
